This file contains last-minute product information and supplements
the U.are.U Platinum Integrator documentation. 

The U.are.U Platinum Integrator version 2.0.0 will install all files needed 
for applications using the DigitalPersona's Fingerprint Recognition System.

1. INSTALLATION
================


Note: You must have administrator's right to install this software on 
Windows NT, 2000, and XP.

1- Insert the U.are.U Platinum Integrator CD in your Windows machine.
2- The installation program will start automatically. If not, 
   run Setup.exe that is located in the root of the CD.
3- If your machine does not have Windows Installer, the installation 
   program will automatically install it and ask you to restart your 
   computer. After the computer restarts, the installation program 
   will continue automatically. This usually happens only on older 
   versions of the operating system, such as Windows 98 and NT.
4- Follow the installation instructions.
5- Restart the computer and log in to your Windows account.
6- Connect the U.are.U Sensor.

A sample program is provided on the CD: \Misc\Sample\DPTest.exe.
You may run it to verify that the installation is succesful.

2. COMPATIBILITY
=================

The U.are.U Platinum Integrator version 2.0.0 is compatible with the 
following:

- U.are.U Gold Integrator/SDK version 2.2.0 
- U.are.U Pro version 1.2.0 or later
- U.are.U Personal 1.1.0 or later

3. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

* Pentium-class processor
* 64MB RAM
* USB port
* Total disk space required: 8 MB
* Windows Operating System:
	-Windows 98
	-Windows Me
	-Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 4.0 or later)
	-Windows 2000
	-Windows XP (Professional and Home)

4. RELEASE NOTES
==================

4·1 New Hardware Support
U.are.U 4000 sensor is now supported in this version, in addition 
to all previous released U.are.U sensors. Cross sensor matching 
is supported so there is no need to re-register fingerprints.

5. KNOWN ISSUES FOR THIS RELEASE
=================================

The following are known issues for this release:

4.1 When intalling over the Platinum Integrator 1.2.0, 
Gold Integrator/SDK 2.2.0, and U.are.U Pro 1.2.0 
on a Windows NT4.0 machine, the installation will ask you to reboot 
to update the drivers. After the reboot, the installation will continue 
automatically.

6. SILENT INSTALL
===================

5.1 To run silent install you must open the SETUP.INI located 
in the install folder and uncomment the last line of the code 
that starts with "cmdline=/qn /i". Then run the SETUP.EXE.
