This file may be found in the OCXs Only folder on the CD containing the Imaging for Windows® Professional Edition software. This file is not installed to the destination folder. OCX Help -------- After installation, the Imaging Professional OCX help file, imgocxd.hlp, is located in the folder where you installed the Imaging for Windows® Professional Edition OCX Version. =================== SOFTWARE COMPONENTS =================== Installing the Software ----------------------- Imaging for Windows® Professional Edition OCX Version may be installed on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000. In Windows NT 4.0 environments, make sure that operating system service pack 4 or greater is installed. Silent install is supported using the "-s" switch on the command line. 1. Close any running applications to avoid possible file conflicts. 2. Go to the "OCXs Only" folder on the CD and run the SETUP.EXE program. 3. After a few seconds, the Imaging Professional OCX Installation screen appears. 4. After the software is copied to your system, the Setup complete screen appears. 5. Click Finish to end the installation. Installation Notes ------------------ If the OCX version is installed on top of older releases of Imaging Professional, the older version is removed. If installed on top of the current Imaging Professional 2.6 product, the Imaging Professional Application, the Preview Application, and the Flow Application are not removed. The "Server Access Object" component is installed with the Imaging 1x Server Access support. Uninstalling the Software ------------------------- In Windows NT environments, you must log on as a local administrator to uninstall the software. 1. Open the Windows Control panel by clicking Start, and then point to Settings, Control Panel. 2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon. The Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box appears. 3. Select the Install/Uninstall tab. A list of currently installed software appears. 4. If present, select Imaging for Windows® Server Access. 5. Click Add/Remove. The Confirm File Deletion dialog box appears. 6. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the program. 7. Select Imaging for Windows® Professional OCXs (Version 2.6). 8. Click Add/Remove. The Confirm File Deletion dialog box appears. 9. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the program. Uninstallation Notes -------------------- On Windows NT, the uninstall procedure only clears the Imaging preferences and settings for the user who uninstalls Imaging Professional. The uninstall will not remove Registry keys that may be used by other Kodak Applications. On Windows NT, the uninstall does not delete the HKCU\Software\Kodak\WOI\ANNOTATION_TOOL_PALLETTE key, and keys under the Security ID (SID) for the current user. ============== KNOWN PROBLEMS ============== On Windows NT, Imaging Professional 2.6 OCXs Only will not run properly if installed in a directory that contains a period (.) as part of its name. If Imaging Professional 2.6 OCXs Only is installed when the current Imaging Professional 2.6 product is already installed, but to a different location, it is not possible to properly uninstall Imaging Professional 2.6. To clean your system install the Imaging Professional 2.6 product again and perform an uninstall. Then reinstall Imaging Professional 2.6 OCXs Only.
